Four Seasons Hotel Seoul appoints Sébastien Ganry as its new Director of Food and Beverage

Seoul, Korea, 2019-Feb-18 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel Seoul announces the appointment of Sébastien Ganry as its new Director of Food and Beverage. Sébastien will oversee all daily operations and management work of the Hotel’s eight distinct restaurants and bars as well as its sizeable banquet operations, including the opening of the Hotel’s new contemporary Japanese restaurant Akira Back this coming March.

Born and raised in Nantes along the Loire River in western France, Sébastien grew up in a large family of doctors and his natural path led him to medical school. After a year of medical school, Sébastien realised his real interests lay elsewhere: “I was always passionate about dining and celebrations,” says Sébastien Ganry. “Food is something that brings people together; it’s the common thread of so many occasions.”

After graduating from Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration and Management, Sébastien started his career with Four Seasons as a Food and Beverage Intern at Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris. From there, his career in food and beverage took him around the world. After an assignment with Island Shangri-La in Hong Kong, he returned to Four Seasons to enjoy a range of opportunities at various properties around the globe including Beverly Wilshire (A Four Seasons Hotel), Four Seasons Resort O’ahu at Ko Olina, Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora and Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane where he managed the signature Amaranto Restaurant. His last stop before Seoul was The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas where he managed the entire food and beverage operations as Director of Food and Beverage.

“I am right where I want to be, surrounded by the new, fascinating culture of Seoul and I am honoured to join the strong talented team here at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul,” says Sébastien Ganry. “The Hotel has one of the largest food and beverage operations in the company and I am looking forward to keeping Four Seasons Hotel Seoul at the top of the city’s growing dining and drinking scenes.”

Alexandre Bernabe, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Seoul comments: “We are excited to have Sébastien on board. We are confident that his extensive knowledge and wealth of experience in the Food and Beverage department as well as his high level of commitment and passion will further grow our team and carry them to new heights.”
