The talented and creative pastry chef will now lead all culinary for the Hotel and brings artistic craft and innovation to the leadership team
One Dalton Street, Boston, U.S.A., 2023-Mar-31 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston announces the promotion of Rob Differ as the new Food and Beverage Leader. Originally part of the opening team for the Hotel, he is an integral member of the leadership team and will lead all culinary operations for the Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond Hotel.
Recently promoted to the role from his position of Executive Pastry Chef, Differ’s culinary expertise and impact is felt throughout the Hotel. Differ brings a new level of creativity to his role as Food and Beverage Leader with his creations already playing a central role in the popular Afternoon Tea, the Hotel’s contemporary take on the classic tea experience. Currently, Differ is in the midst of launching a new dinner menu at Trifecta, the vibrant cocktail lounge and restaurant inspired by New England’s coastal lifestyle as well as an elegant new brunch experience at One + One, the only luxury buffet brunch experience in Boston.
As a talented and creative pastry chef, Differ played a central role curating beautiful culinary displays for banquets and events. In 2022, Differ travelled to New York during Fashion Week to partner with sister property Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown on the whimsical Vogue Vanguard Breakfast. Back in Boston during the festive season, Differ and his team transformed the beautiful Hotel lobby into a chocolate lover’s fantasy with a vibrant and whimsical chocolate bar as the show stopping centrepiece.
“It is an honour to take on this new role and lead our talented Four Seasons culinary team to take our restaurants and events to the next level,” says Differ. “I am inspired by the team’s creative energy and look forward to dreaming up new experiences for our guests to enjoy.”
Beginning his culinary career in France after attending Ecole Ritz Escoffier in Paris where he obtained the Diplôme Maîtrise de Pâtisserie qualification, Differ’s first role was at the Hôtel Ritz Paris. In 2008, he joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts at Four Seasons Hotel Boston, where he spent six years at the Boylston Street property. Differ has worked as a pastry chef in some of Boston’s top hotels and clubs including Mandarin Oriental with celebrity chef Daniel Boulud and Boston’s newest private social club, Quin House Social Club.
Outside of the kitchen, Differ enjoys time at his home at Ogunquit, a beautiful town on Maine’s southern coast where he loves the beach life, gardening, outdoor activities or cruising around in his classic BMW convertible.
