Four Seasons Hotel Mexico DF Celebrates Independence Day at Reforma 500

Annual celebrations includes special menus September 15-16, 2012.

México, D.F., Mexico, 2012-09-07 — /travelprnews.com/ — Four Seasons Hotel Mexico DF celebrates Independence Day as it does every year and invites its guests and clients to celebrate theGrito (cry) of independence in El Bar on September 15. A special cocktail will be offered, plus an à la carte menu with a wide selection of Mexican specialties including the famous chiles en nogada. Mexican music will liven up the atmosphere and the ceremony of the Grito can be watched from the screens of the Bar as well as the traditional fireworks from the Zocalo.

On the following day, Sunday, September 16, Reforma 500 restaurant – already known for its famous Sunday Brunch – will offer a great gastronomical experience with a sumptuous brunch from 12:30 to 4:30 pm.

In addition to the varied buffet, diners can enjoy stations of Mexican specialties prepared by Executive Chef Edgar Kano and his great kitchen team. Chicken in Oaxacan black mole, Oaxacan tamales with mole amarillo, chicken tamales in salsa verde in maize leaf, Mexican style rice, pig’s feet pozole, and Sinaloa-style shrimp broth are some of the dishes that can be enjoyed. Of course the typical Mexican salsas are a must. At the salad station, nopal salad and shredded beef salad will be offered.

Also, the dessert station will provide Mexican delicacies prepared by Pastry Chef Francisco Vázquez, such as sweet potato and brown sugar charlotte, chilacayote mousse with lime, yogurt and chia cream,tres leches corn cake, garibaldis, pulque meringues, bread pudding mousse, Papantla vanilla jericalla (custard), pineapple and almondarequipa, shot of plantain and brittle, a variety of Mexican sweets, and chocolate, caramel and chamoy covered apples.

A Mariachi band will liven up the brunch, and children can play in the supervised Kids’ Corner while adults enjoy their meal.

The prices for so enjoyable meal in that so special day for all Mexicans are:

  • Brunch accompanied by a complimentary Mimosa, MXN 690.00 per person
  • Brunch accompanied by Louis Perdrier sparkling wine, MXN 790.00 per person
  • Brunch accompanied by Champagne Taittinger, MXN 1,190.00 per person
  • Children under the age of 13, MXN 345.00
  • Prices inclusive of parking, exclusive of service charge
