Four Seasons Hotel Baku welcomes Tristan Tuaud as Executive Pastry Chef

Baku, Azerbaijan, 2018-Jan-09 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel Baku announces the appointment of Tristan Tuaud as Executive Pastry Chef of the leading luxury hotel in the city.

With an abundance of experience in the art of pastry, Tuaud is ready to bring fresh new ideas to Four Seasons Hotel Baku. With more than nine years of experience, where he has contributed to many high profile Four Seasons culinary teams, including Le Cinq at Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris, Tuaud is a highly trained pastry chef with a wealth of international experience to garner from.

“We are delighted to welcome Tristan Tuaud to Baku,” says General Manager Ricardo Acevedo. “His commitment to quality and creativity makes Tuaud the ideal chef to lead the pastry team in a fresh and exciting direction.”

Tuaud joins from One & Only Sanya Resort, where, as executive pastry chef, he oversaw the pastry and baking operations across six food and beverage outlets at the resort.

Born in Vannes, France, Tuaud has had a passion for cooking since his childhood, which came from his mother who loved to cook seasonal fruits and vegetables. At the young age of 16, Tuaud started his first job as the kitchen apprentice at La Marmite, La Rochelle, France. After two years in this role Tuaud accepted the position of pastry apprentice at Lenôtre Luxury Pastry and Catering where he received his first Pastry Apprenticeship Bronze medal. Since then, Tuaud has worked with a number of leading luxury hotels including Lebua Hotel at State Tower, Bangkok, as well as a number of Four Seasons properties, including Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest and Four Seasons Resort Aviara, San Diego.

At the helm of the pastry team, Tuaud has a particular passion for French pastries, which stems from his early years in France, however, it is Tuaud’s extensive international portfolio that has inspired many of his inventive creations in the kitchen. The various spices he has discovered during his time abroad feature in a number of his classic French pastries.

Tuaud’s appointment at Four Seasons Hotel Baku will see him lead all pastry development and operations across the food and beverage outlets at the Hotel, including the Hotel’s signature Italian restaurant Zafferano.
