Prize winning barmen Luca Angeli and Luca Marcellin are competing in the European Finals, May 20-21, 2015

They are regular features at the Atrium Bar & Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze and Il Foyer Bar atFour Seasons Hotel Milano respectively, open every day of the year to offer a selection of delicious and out-of-the ordinary drinks, in keeping with the Four Seasons tradition of offering unique concepts of hospitality and comfort.

“New products, careful research, paying attention to customers’ requests, and the use of the most advanced techniques are the keys to our success, along with a highly qualified staff of ten,” explains Luca Marcellin, who was the runner up at the Domaine de Canton Bartender of the Year competition in the Caribbean last June, where he represented Itay.

When asked what he could never do without and what makes the bar of Four Seasons Hotel Milano so unique, he doesn’t hesitate to answer: “I could never do without my staff, our quality level, ongoing research and pursuit of the Italian style. These are, in my opinion, the distinguishing features that make each and every Four Seasons guest feel special and welcome.”

Now, he is getting ready for the European Finals of the Rose’s Cup, taking place in Copenhagen, where he will be competing for Italy side by side with Luca Angeli. “Our staff in Florence, led by Bar Manager Massimiliano Prili, is made up of seven members, two of whom are women, adding a touch of female elegance to the bar,” says Angeli, AIBES Barman of the Year 2013. “Ours is a classic and elegant bar, which our customers describe as ‘warm’ owing also to the staff’s friendly and knowledgeable approach, not to mention our top-quality and highly-creative drinks. Our Old Style Negroni, with China Clementi di Fivizzano and Vallombrosa Gin, is our most popular locally-sourced cocktail.”
