(PRESS RELEASE) Dubai, UAE, 2024-Nov-9 — /Travel PR News/ — Dubai-based airline flydubai and Batik Air Malaysia have launched an interline partnership, expanding travel options for passengers between the UAE, Malaysia, and a wide range of destinations. The agreement enables flydubai travelers to connect seamlessly to over 40 destinations across Batik Air’s network via Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), including popular cities such as Hanoi, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Osaka, and Sydney. Batik Air passengers will also benefit from access to 38 unique flydubai routes in Africa, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and more, with destinations like Entebbe, Istanbul, Milan-Bergamo, Prague, and Zagreb.

Through this interline agreement, passengers enjoy the convenience of a single booking and through-checked baggage, making travel across these networks more streamlined. flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith emphasized the importance of this partnership in strengthening Dubai’s position as an aviation hub, while Batik Air CEO Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy highlighted the enhanced connectivity and travel opportunities the collaboration offers.

Since early 2024, flydubai has connected Malaysia with daily flights to Langkawi and Penang, serving the market with its fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft. flydubai’s Business Class travelers can expect personalized service with diverse menu options, extensive entertainment, and added comfort, while Economy Class is optimized for space and ease.

Currently, flydubai serves over 125 destinations in 55 countries and has introduced more than 90 routes that previously lacked direct connections to Dubai. Flights through this partnership are now available for booking on flydubai’s and Batik Air’s websites, as well as through travel agents.
