Flybe launches year round service between Manchester and Luxembourg

Leading regional airline boosts schedule with only available flights to Luxembourg outside of London

DEVON, UK, 2016-Sep-07 — /Travel PR News/ — Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has today (1st September) celebrated a UK milestone with its brand new year round service between Manchester and Luxembourg that, until today, was a destination only previously accessible to and from main London airports.Current flights will increase to twice daily on weekdays and once a day at weekends from 1st October. One way fares are from £29.99 (€40) including taxes and charges and are available for booking, together with full schedule details, at www.flybe.com

Flights from Manchester have been conveniently timed to make day returns a real possibility, leaving Manchester in the morning before returning late evening to the North of England.

Luxembourg is a destination growing in popularity with both business and leisure travellers, with its picturesque towns and castles contrasting with cities that host the headquarters of some of the most powerful institutions in Europe such as the European Investment Bank and the European Court of Justice.

Inbound customers to Manchester can also take advantage of the many onward connections available with Flybe from the airline’s successful Manchester hub. This option has become increasingly popular with those deciding to bypass congested London airports.

Vincent Hodder, Flybe Chief Revenue Officer, commented: “We are delighted to be launching our first flights between Manchester and Luxembourg today. Not only is this a first for Flybe, it is also now the only direct route offered to Luxembourg City outside of London. It is a fantastic destination for both business and leisure travellers alike so we are thrilled to mark this special milestone. We have scheduled flight times to make day trips a real possibility as well as helping business travellers save on expensive hotel costs.”

Manchester Airport’s Commercial Director, Stephen Turner, said: “We’re delighted to see the launch of Flybe’s new service to Luxembourg, which is a new route for Manchester. We’re confident the route will prove hugely popular with the 22 million people in our catchment area.”
