2013-04-30 — /travelprnews.com/ — The menu offers passengers the chance to enjoy the fresh aromas of Finnish archipelago cuisine. The new selection has been designed by leading Finnish chef Michael Björklund, who was a guest head-chef at the restaurant on April 25th and 26th.
Each course of the menu features a dish that encapsulates the best of Finnish archipelago cuisine accompanied by a specially selected wine.
To start
Rainbow trout carpaccio with asparagus braised in butter, served with Kastelholm cheese
To Follow
Fried perch with seafood cake and Ål-meister eel sauce, served with potato compote.
Finally
The pudding is Åland island pancake, served with vanilla ice cream.
Björklund’s first HelsinkiMenu will be available at the Fly Inn Restaurant and Deli from 25th April to 25th June. It will be followed by a late summer version, which will be available from 26th June to 27 August.
Björklund has been named Chef of the Year in both Finland and Sweden. His talent was also recognised when he achieved a fifth place in the prestigious Bocuse d’Or competition.
