Zurich, Switzerland, 2017-May-22 — /Travel PR News/ — Flughafen Zürich AG has designated a successor for Chief Operation Officer Stefan Conrad. Stefan Tschudin, Head Regulatory Affairs & Noise, will be appointed as the new Chief Operation Officer (COO) and member of the management board of the airport operator as of October 1, 2017.
In mid-April 2017 the company announced that Stefan Conrad will manage Flughafen Zürich AG’s activities in Latin America as CEO as of November 1, 2017. As a result of the move to Latin America, Conrad will leave the management board of Flughafen Zürich AG at the end of September 2017.
The search for a successor as COO and member of the management board of Flughafen Zürich AG was launched in April. Flughafen Zürich AG is pleased to announce the appointment of the 49-year-old Stefan Tschudin, who is once more an internal successor. He will assume his new role as COO as of October 1, 2017.
Stefan Tschudin joined the aviation division of Flughafen Zürich AG as a project manager in 2007. Among other, he was responsible for all procedures relating to the operating regulations of Zurich airport as well as for the aviation parts within the framework of the sectoral aviation infrastructure plan (SAIP). Stefan Tschudin is currently head of the department regulatory affairs & noise, which, in addition to flight operations, also covers the sound insulation program and resident protection.
Stefan Tschudin completed his studies of law at the University of Zurich. He started his career as a line pilot at Swissair and later SWISS and subsequently worked as a general counsel at a pension fund. Tschudin is married, father of three children and lives in the airport region.
