Aberdeen, Scotland, 2014-04-25 — /Travel PR News/ — During Catch the Bus Week Greener Journeys* and many First bus operators across the UK will be promoting the benefits of bus travel.
Catch the Bus Week 2014, runs from 28th April to the 4th of May. The campaign aims to increase awareness of the benefits of bus travel in the UK and to encourage more people to use the bus and use it more often. We will be highlighting the convenience; reliability; value for money; and the environmental benefits of catching the bus.
Buses play a vital role in getting people to work, training and education. They help bring communities together and support local economies by connecting people to local services, leisure facilities and retail locations. Buses also help reduce congestion on our roads, and harmful carbon emissions in the atmosphere, whilst helping health and wellbeing.
To find out what activities and promotions will be taking place near you and how you can get involved please go to your local bus area for details or follow on Twitter #CTBW
*Greener Journeys is the campaigning group committed to promoting more sustainable travel.
