Finavia Secures New Taxi Service Partnership for Kuopio Airport, Ensuring Reliable Transportation Options for Passengers

(PRESS RELEASE) Vantaa, Finland, 2024-Nov-7 — /Travel PR News/ — Finavia has signed a new contract with Kuljettajasi Oy to provide taxi services at Kuopio Airport, effective February 1, 2025. Kuopion Taksiykköset, an existing provider at the airport, will continue its operations without any changes. This agreement aims to maintain efficient and reliable taxi services for travelers using the regional airport.

Special taxi lanes in front of the terminal entrance are reserved for contracted providers, while other taxis can use designated areas nearby. Pre-booked taxis have a separate waiting area at the airport. Finavia’s tendering process, conducted in autumn 2024, focused on service quality and availability aligned with flight schedules, though taxi companies are free to set their own fares.

Passengers will still have the flexibility to choose any taxi provider. The contract with Kuljettajasi Oy is for one year, with an option to extend for an additional year.
