Helsinki, Finland, 2015-8-26 — /Travel PR News/ — Did you know that there are five green “Pastille” collection receptacles at Helsinki Airport, and one at Kokkola-Pietarsaari. They are part of a campaign by Finavia and Plan charity organization. You can leave your extra currency from your trip to the pastilles. The funds collected are used for the daily needs of children in developing countries.
Do you have some extra coins in your pockets that you could put into good use? Or do you have a small amount of left over foreign currency from your trip?
By dropping your extra change to the Plan pastilles you can help children in the developing countries. Any currency is accepted and used for a good purpose.
The collected funds are used to improve the quality of life of the children in the most vulnerable position: girls, ethnical minorities, disabled children and those children living on the streets.
Even a small amount counts
Over 16 million passengers visit Helsinki Airport each year. One can count the potential amount for charity if every passenger donated for example one Euro.
The pastille collection receptacles are designed by Eero Aarnio. There are altogether five Plan pastilles at Helsinki Airport. Four of the pastilles are located in the gate area at gates 13, 19, 26 and 32. One is located before the security control in arrivals hall 2B.
At Kokkola-Pietarsaari the Pastille is located before the security control.

For Finavia, the Plan cooperation is a way of promoting the wellbeing of children in developing countries. The cooperation also enables effective support in places, which our operating environment does not necessarily reach.
Our Plan cooperation will expand more during this fall. We will inform about that soon!
