Leeds, United Kingdom, 2017-Feb-03 — /Travel PR News/ — Last week, we welcomed Chris Grayling MP, Secretary of State for Transport to Leeds Bradford Airport. During his visit he had a private meeting with the Executive Directors of LBA and toured the airport’s facilities.
Topics discussed included surface access to and from LBA, the significant economic benefits that LBA generates for the region, our plans for development and broader aviation issues. The tour included a visit to the Air Traffic Control tower, to view investments in the latest state of the art systems made in recent months.
John Parkin, Chief Executive for LBA, said: “It was a very encouraging and positive visit. We were delighted to welcome the Secretary of State for Transport here at LBA as it gave him the opportunity to see first-hand how we are developing the airport to meet demand for air travel in the city and region and to the investment being made in facilities and customer service experiences.
“I’d like to thank the Secretary of State for Transport for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit our airport and we very much look forward to keeping him updated on our progress.”
The visit came on the same day as the Secretary of State for Transport addressed the Leeds Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner.
