BERLIN, Germany, 2016-Oct-07 — /Travel PR News/ — Members of the Etihad Airways Partners (EAP) group of airlines are cooperating with airberlin to help the airline overcome operational disruption.
Significant flight cancellations at TUIfly have affected many airberlin flights which are operated by TUIfly under a wet-lease agreement.
EAP includes airberlin, Etihad Airways, Alitalia, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, Jet Airways and Etihad Regional.
Etihad Airways will provide an Airbus A340 aircraft to airberlin from tomorrow, October 7, while Alitalia has already provided airberlin with one Airbus A321 aircraft and is working to provide a second aircraft.
In addition, Air Serbia has provided airberlin with one Boeing 737 aircraft and is looking to provide a further two aircraft in the coming days.
Stefan Pichler, CEO of airberlin said: “The support we are receiving from our fellow EAP airlines once again demonstrates the wider advantages and cooperation available through our membership of this valuable group.
“We are working hard to minimise the inconvenience to our customers and our EAP partners are rallying round to work with us in close harmony as one united team.
“We appreciate their assistance as we work day and night to take all necessary steps to protect our flight schedule for our customers.”
