Enhanced Connectivity: Garuda and SIA Unveil Expanded Routes, Fare Integration, and Lounge Access

(IN SHORT) In August 2025, Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines will launch joint fare products, extend their codeshare network, and introduce reciprocal lounge access for frequent flyers. Travellers can book combined itineraries on both carriers between Singapore and Indonesian cities—Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya—and choose from an expanded range of fares. The codeshare expansion adds four new SIA destinations (Bengaluru, Kolkata, Delhi, Malé) and several Garuda routes (Labuan Bajo via Denpasar or Jakarta; Lombok; Manado). Starting mid-August, GarudaMiles Platinum and above, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and above, will access each other’s lounges on key routes, and both programmes will earn and redeem miles on the new sectors. SIA has already increased Singapore–Jakarta flights to nine daily services, and Garuda aims for seven daily flights in Q4 2025. CEOs Wamildan Tsani and Goh Choon Phong emphasized their shared goal of enhancing connectivity and customer experience.

(PRESS RELEASE) SINGAPORE, 2025-Aug-1 — /Travel PR News/ — Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines (SIA) are deepening their long-established partnership in August 2025 by introducing joint fare sales, expanding codeshare routes, and enabling reciprocal lounge privileges.

Starting next month, travellers can book a single itinerary featuring flights operated by either carrier between Singapore and Indonesia¹. This integration simplifies booking and provides a broader selection of fare choices.

The carriers will also widen their codeshare network: Garuda Indonesia flyers will gain access to four new SIA-served cities—Bengaluru, Kolkata, Delhi, and Malé—while Singapore Airlines passengers can connect through Denpasar and Jakarta to Garuda-operated flights to Labuan Bajo, Lombok, and Manado. Existing codeshares on routes between Singapore and Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya, plus SIA services to London Heathrow and Mumbai, will remain in place.

From mid-August 2025, GarudaMiles and KrisFlyer members will enjoy lounge access reciprocity on Singapore–Denpasar, Singapore–Jakarta, and Singapore–Surabaya flights². Members can also earn and redeem miles on the expanded codeshare sectors, building on their frequent flyer tie-up launched in February 2025.

In May 2025, SIA boosted its Singapore–Jakarta frequency from eight to nine daily flights. Pending approvals, Garuda Indonesia plans to increase its Singapore–Jakarta service from six to seven daily flights in Q4 2025, with further frequency enhancements under consideration.

Mr Wamildan Tsani, President and CEO of Garuda Indonesia, remarked, “This strengthened cooperation underlines our joint dedication to seamless, comprehensive travel offerings and bolsters ties between Indonesia and Singapore.”

Mr Goh Choon Phong, CEO of Singapore Airlines, added, “By integrating our sales, networks, and loyalty benefits, we’re creating concrete advantages for customers and driving growth in the Singapore–Indonesia market and beyond.”
