Worthy celebrated the event with Emirates employees and held a basketball clinic for young players at Zabeel Park as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. The tournament tips off tonight, with matchups including the New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers and Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks.

(PRESS RELEASE) Dubai, UAE, 2024-Nov-12 — /Travel PR News/ — Today, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, welcomed NBA legend James Worthy to Emirates Group Headquarters to mark the start of the Emirates NBA Cup 2024. Worthy, a seven-time NBA All-Star and three-time NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, brought the NBA Cup to celebrate the tournament’s launch and engaged with Emirates staff, signing autographs and commemorating the occasion.

As part of Dubai Fitness Challenge activities, Worthy later led a basketball clinic for young players at Zabeel Park. Young athletes from Al Nasr Club, aged 8 to 13, had the opportunity to learn techniques and tips from the basketball icon, enhancing their skills through hands-on coaching.

The Emirates NBA Cup kicks off tonight, featuring a lineup with the New York Knicks facing the Philadelphia 76ers at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by the Golden State Warriors against the Dallas Mavericks at 10 p.m. ET.
