Emirates Elevates First Class Travel with Hotel-Style Sleep Rituals and Spa Enhancements

(NEWS) DUBAI, UAE, 2025-Dec-19 — /Travel PR News/ — Emirates is redefining rest at 40,000 feet with a new suite of First Class sleep and wellness enhancements designed to transform long-haul travel into a deeply restorative experience. According to the airlines’ press announcement, from December, the airline will begin rolling out refined loungewear, upgraded bedding, an elegant turndown service, and a series of sensory touches that together create a seamless transition from dining and socialising to uninterrupted rest.

At the heart of the update is a new collection of First Class loungewear, available on select long-haul services. Crafted from ultra-soft modal fabric, the two-piece sets are designed to balance elegance with ease, offering breathability, temperature regulation, and a lightweight feel ideal for onboard relaxation and sleep. The sustainably sourced fabric is made using fully traceable botanic fibres from responsibly grown beech trees. Women’s designs are offered in blush pink and light grey, while men’s sets feature a refined two-tone grey palette. The ensemble is completed with matching slippers and eye masks, with plush soles and silk-feel linings designed to support deep, uninterrupted rest.

From 2026, Emirates will further elevate sleep quality with the introduction of premium 300-thread-count cotton bed linen across First Class cabins. The new bedding includes pillows, duvet covers, and mattress covers, complementing the airline’s fully enclosed First Class suites, which feature lie-flat beds and sliding doors for complete privacy. The enhanced linen is designed to mirror the comfort of a high-end hotel, reinforcing Emirates’ focus on consistent luxury throughout the journey.

The airline is also refining its First Class turndown service to reflect the quiet sophistication of a luxury hotel suite. Each bed is prepared with crisp linens, a bespoke wellness card encouraging relaxation, and a lightly placed BYREDO Chamomile Pillow Mist. A curated luxury chocolate selection completes the ritual, with renowned chocolatiers including Valrhona, Canonica, Coco Jalila, and Neuhaus featured as part of the experience.

Wellness continues in the skies with updates to the iconic Emirates A380 Shower Spa. Newly designed display units with a speckled stone finish have been introduced, aligning with the refreshed interiors of retrofitted aircraft and enhancing the spa’s calming, wellness-led atmosphere. Emirates is also expanding its partnership with Irish luxury skincare brand VOYA, introducing two new fragrance collections: Tranquillity, with lavender and eucalyptus notes, and Revitalise, featuring honeysuckle and neroli. The ranges include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body moisturiser, and face wash, alongside coconut and jasmine soap, hand wash, and hand cream. Individual hand creams will also be available in First and Business Class washrooms.

Adding to the evening ritual, Emirates has introduced new crystal-cut glassware for First Class service. The refined designs are used for premium spirits, cocktails, mocktails, iced coffees, and new chilled café options such as iced lattes and iced Americanos. A new brandy balloon glass will also debut, created specifically to present Emirates’ exclusive Hennessy Paradis Cognac and Tesseron brandy.

Looking ahead to early 2026, Emirates will introduce the next generation of Bowers & Wilkins First Class headphones, the custom-tuned E2 model. Designed exclusively for Emirates’ suites, the headphones offer enhanced active noise cancellation, improved sound isolation, and a more natural, immersive audio profile for long-haul listening. Ergonomically optimised for extended wear, the E2 headphones integrate seamlessly with Emirates’ ice inflight entertainment system and include access to a curated Bowers & Wilkins playlist. A voice transparency mode allows ambient sound to pass through at the touch of a button, enabling communication with cabin crew before returning passengers to complete tranquillity.
