2012-07-21 — /travelprnews.com/ — Don’t wait until you get to Oslo Airport if you need an emergency passport to travel abroad. Because the police at Gardermoen are operating at reduced capacity during the summer, we ask you to primarily contact your local police district if you need an emergency passport.
In connection with the summer holiday season the capacity of the police station at Gardermoen will be somewhat reduced. This means that the police post in the terminal building at Oslo Airport will be closed during some periods. The police post may also be closed for shorter periods at other times.

When the police post is closed no emergency passports will be issued. Consequently, members of the public who need an emergency passport should first and foremost contact their local police district, which has a primary responsibility to provide this service.

When contacting the Gardermoen police station for an emergency passport, please phone us in advance on 64 81 97 00.

Otherwise please note that while an ordinary passport and an emergency passport cost the same, the emergency passport is valid only for the trip for which it was issued.
