EASYJET HOPE VALENTINE’S POP UP SHOP WILL SPREAD A LITTLE LOVE FOR CHARITY

2013-02-14 — /travelprnews.com/ — It might not be the most romantic place to buy your partner a gift, but easyJet hopes its pop up Valentine’s stall at Manchester Airport will help spread a little love for children caught in the Syria conflict this February 14th.

Passengers travelling on easyJet’s inaugural flights to Venice and Reykjavik this Thursday don’t need to worry about chocolates, cards or flowers – as they’ll be greeted by the airline’s very own Valentines pop up shop at Manchester Airport.

Forgetful lovers will receive Valentine’s Day gifts including orange roses, chocolates and ‘I’d travel to Europe and back for you’ Valentine’s Day cards in return for donations to help UNICEF’s life-saving work for children caught up in the Syria conflict.

Ali Gayward, Commercial Manager for easyJet, said: “We launch new flights to Venice and Reykjavik this Valentines and in the spirit of the day we’ll be offering cards, flowers and chocolates for forgetful lovers in exchange for a small donation to UNICEF.

“An easyJet Valentine’s Day card might not be the most romantic way to start your holiday but every penny will help provide essential medical equipment and clothing for children caught in the Syrian conflict. We’re sure passengers will get behind this worthy cause and treat their loved one to an easyJet Valentine’s gift.”

All of the money raised through donations will help hundreds of thousands of children struggling to survive extreme winter temperatures in the refugee camps surrounding Syria. easyJet will also be collecting spare change for UNICEF on board all their flights from Manchester Airport until 15th March 2013.

From Thursday 14 February easyJet will operate new flights to Venice and Reykjavik from Manchester Airport:

• Flights to Reykjavik operate on Thursdays and Sundays and start from £29.49*
• Flights to Venice operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and start from £29.49*
