Earth Day: HMSHost to contribute portion of sales from natural dark chocolate bars to an environmental cause

HMSHost Offers Travelers a Delicious Way to Offset Carbon

Bethesda, MD, 2016-Apr-11 — /Travel PR News/ — In the spirit of Earth Day and beyond, global restaurateur HMSHost is offering travelers a delicious way to help offset carbon emissions through the month of April. At select HMSHost airport and motorway locations across the United States, travelers can purchase all natural dark chocolate bars where a portion of the sales contribute to an environmental cause.

The sale of each dark chocolate bar helps reduce emissions equal to 150 flying miles or 60 driving miles by funding a carbon offset project supplied by TerraPass – an organization that provides individuals with the ability to reduce the environmental impact of everyday activities through carbon offsets and renewable energy credits that capture greenhouse gases and produce clean energy.

“As part of HMSHost’s sustainability and marketing efforts, we are offering travelers the opportunity to help offset carbon and positively impact the environment in which we live and travel,” said HMSHost Vice President of Marketing Atousa Ghoreichi.
