New social media campaign to highlight range of services available at the airport
Dubai, UAE, 2015-3-10 — /Travel PR News/ — What could a penguin possibly do to entertain itself in the world’s number one international airport? Dubai Airports today launched a social media campaign that finally answers that age-old question.
The campaign, which is splashed across Dubai Airports’ YouTube and Facebook pages, features a colourful and quirky video depicting the exploits of Pedro the Penguin as he ventures from the frozen desolation of Antarctica to tour Dubai International (DXB) for the first time. He enjoys his time so much, we are not sure he will ever leave. The video can be viewed here
In addition to its status as one of the biggest and most connected airports in the world, DXB serves up a large and diverse product and service offering designed to delight passengers who arrive, connect or depart to over 270 destinations around the globe. From world-class retail and food outlets, spas, on-concourse hotels, and great relaxation spaces such as our Zen garden and family play area, there is something for everyone using our airport.
“Our aim is to create an environment that is relevant and memorable. Across Dubai International we are partnered with world class commercial operators and brands, and this campaign allows us to showcase this unique offering in an unexpected way,” said Eugene Barry, EVP Commercial Group at Dubai Airports.
The video was produced for Dubai Airports by Hometown, a London-based advertising agency and was shot on location at Dubai International and in the studio in London.
