(IN SHORT) DSV has launched a 12,600 m² energy-neutral warehouse at Brucargo Central in Brussels Airport, half of which is dedicated to temperature-controlled healthcare logistics. The new facility enhances DSV’s sustainable infrastructure and supports its strategic growth in Belgium, particularly in pharmaceuticals and life sciences. Key stakeholders—the company’s Natalie Segers, Brussels Airport CEO Arnaud Feist and logistics expert Professor Roel Gevaers—highlight its environmental credentials, sector-specific capabilities and collaborative innovation. The warehouse opening coincides with DSV’s integration of DB Schenker and its active role in the Pharma.Aero network.

(PRESS RELEASE) BRUSSELS, Belgium, 2025-Jun-13 — /Travel PR News/ — DSV, a global leader in transport and logistics, has officially inaugurated its new 12,600 m² warehouse at Brucargo Central, the dedicated logistics zone of Brussels Airport. This state-of-the-art facility reinforces DSV’s long-term commitment to Belgium and strengthens its strategic foothold in the European logistics network.

Engineered to meet the highest environmental benchmarks, the energy-neutral warehouse reflects DSV’s drive for sustainable operations and future-ready infrastructure. Half of the space is purpose-built for healthcare logistics, featuring fully compliant, temperature-controlled zones (2 °C–8 °C, 15 °C–25 °C and –20 °C) tailored to pharmaceuticals and life sciences products.

“This new site represents a significant milestone and underscores DSV’s dedication to the Belgian market,” said Natalie Segers, Managing Director of DSV Air & Sea Belgium. “Designed for sustainability and strategically situated, it will be pivotal to our expansion in healthcare logistics and other specialized verticals.”

Brussels Airport CEO Arnaud Feist welcomed the development: “By adding a second facility at Brucargo Central, Brussels Airport continues to cultivate a logistics ecosystem where partners such as DSV thrive. Our cutting-edge infrastructure meets current needs and anticipates future ambitions, particularly in pharmaceutical handling. This investment cements our position as Europe’s smart, sustainable logistics hub.”

The opening follows DSV’s recent acquisition of DB Schenker, with integration efforts now visible across key markets. Committed to collaborative innovation, DSV partners with industry leaders and academia—including its membership in Pharma.Aero—to advance next-generation logistics solutions.

Professor Roel Gevaers of the University of Antwerp, a specialist in supply chain innovation and last-mile logistics, praised the facility: “This DSV warehouse sets a new standard for logistics infrastructure, uniting operational efficiency, sustainability and sector expertise. Partnerships like DSV’s work with Pharma.Aero are crucial for driving future logistics advancements.”
