Hong Kong, 2012-08-01 — /travelprnews.com/ — Dragonair today (31 July) announced that based on the latest weather forecast for approaching Typhoon Saola, the airline expects disruption to its flights to and from Taipei and Taichung from tomorrow (1 August) afternoon through Thursday (2 August). However, it expects to operate its flights to and from Taipei and Taichung as scheduled today and tomorrow (1 August) morning.
Passengers who are booked on flights to, from or via Taipei or Taichung departing between the afternoon of 1 August through 2 August are encouraged to either advance or postpone non-essential travel. The airline will waive re-booking and re-routing charges for all tickets issued worldwide (irrespective of fare type) on or before 31 July for travel on Dragonair to, from or via Taipei or Taichung between 1 and 2 August.
Passengers are reminded that the situation can change rapidly and are advised to check the latest flight information on the airline’s website, www.dragonair.com, before departing for the airport.
To ensure customers receive the latest flight status updates via SMS or email, they are advised to update their contact details when checking in online or in Manage My Booking at dragonair.com.
The airline will continue to monitor the situation closely and will issue further updates should there be any changes to the flight schedule.
