2013-05-10 — /travelprnews.com/ — Guests can discover the works of artist painter Noureddine Chater at Four Seasons Resort Marrakech until June 30, 2013.
The work of Noureddine Chater is rooted in the tradition of Arabic calligraphy, and further transcends and stands out as art that highlights the interaction between the text and the figural, the idea and form.
Alphabet, word and sentence constitute the first material of the artist, who experiments with the plasticity of the language in the graphic sense. The visual scale brings to the abstraction of the language a real and poetic perspective.
In 1989, Noureddine Chater won “The Young Painting” prize of the city of Leidz, Czechoslovakia. Since then, he has participated in numerous renowned exhibitions and shows in France, Portugal, Germany, Senegal and Morocco. His work is crowned by winning the “Maroc Avenir” in 2006, organized by the Foundation of Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion during the 50th Anniversary of the independence of Morocco.
Noureddine Chater was born in 1975 in Morocco. He lives and works in Marrakech. He is represented by Matisse Art Gallery in Marrakesh and Casablanca – Morocco. His paintings are presented in the Lobby at Four Seasons Resort Marrakech until June 30, 2013, and are available for purchase.
