Dickey’s Slow Smoked Barbecue Heading to Ventura

Ventura, CA, 2012-11-07 — /travelprnews.com/ — Dickey’s shows no signs of slowing down in its expansion across the country. New locations just keep popping up everywhere and each location brings the slow smoked barbecue that just melts in your mouth. Ventura, CA will soon be able to enjoy Dickey’s unique and authentic taste. The new location near Ventura College will be opening in mid-December.

“I was addicted to Dickey’s after my first bite,” said new local owner Steve Spittle. “I’m very excited to introduce great BBQ to Ventura and expect my local community to fall in love just like I did.”

Spittle was born and raised in Ventura County. He spent about 15 years in Nashville, TN as a professional musician. Spittle also worked as a Business Development Manager for a manufacturer in the commercial audio industry. Spittle moved back to his home town about a year and a half ago.

“There are people here who haven’t even had brisket!” said Spittle. “There are a few places here that have “BBQ” in their name, but they don’t serve authentic southern BBQ like Dickey’s. I’m excited to bring Ventura mouthwatering barbecue and home-style sides.”
