Deutsche Hospitality launches a third hotel under its young and fresh MAXX brand
Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 2019-Oct-24 — /Travel PR News/ — The official Grand Opening Party for the MAXX by Steigenberger Sanssouci Potsdam took place yesterday evening in the form of a special “We’re MAXX” themed event. The MAXX by Steigenberger Sanssouci Potsdam originally operated under the name Steigenberger Hotel Sanssouci Potsdam and boasts 137 rooms. It had already become the third hotel to launch under Deutsche Hospitality’s new MAXX by Steigenberger brand when it reopened for business on 1 August this year following extensive renovation works. MAXX combines the usual high Steigenberger level of quality with a sense of sophisticated comfort whilst placing the focus on the essential.
“We are very proud to achieve a further successful expansion of this brand by opening the MAXX by Steigenberger Sanssouci Potsdam,” said a delighted Thomas Willms, CEO, Deutsche Hospitality. “Director Thomas Schneider is surrounded by young team members who have invested plenty of energy in preparing for the Grand Opening. Everyone has put in an outstanding performance.”
The Opening Party at the MAXX by Steigenberger Sanssouci Potsdam had a varied entertainment programme in store for its guests. Hotel tours were on offer, and barkeeper Ronald Barbies served up welcome cocktails in FRIEDRICHs Bistro. Impressions of the former Steigenberger Hotel were shown on the Kutscherhof Terrace. The hotel’s conference area served as a show room for a banquet set-up and also provided a stage for live music and variety acts. In cooperation with BB RADIO, radio DJ and rapper Maiki performed a song specifically for MAXX. Vouchers for overnight stays at various hotels in the Deutsche Hospitality portfolio were available as raffle prizes.
Guests at the Grand Opening also enjoyed a wide selection of culinary treats. “Good food and unusual drinks are the key to success for any event,” explained Thomas Schneider, General Manager of the MAXX by Steigenberger Sanssouci Potsdam. “We also used the Opening Party to showcase our regional cuisine concept.” Offerings ranged from a live barbecue counter serving spit-roasted wild boar and game sausages to a candy bar complete with a chocolate fountain. There was also a selection of finger foods, local craft beer and a barista coffee stand.
