Delta Air Lines Capt. John Rosenberg recognized for his dedication to evolving ALPA’s Professional Standards program

Honored for Dedication to Association’s Professional Standards Program

WASHINGTON, D.C., 2017-May-30 — /Travel PR News/ — At its biennial Pilot Assistance Forum, the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA) recognized Delta Air Lines Capt. John Rosenberg for his extraordinary dedication to evolving ALPA’s Professional Standards program, a peer-based network of trained representatives who address pilot issues of an interpersonal or professional nature.

“Capt. Rosenberg’s tireless devotion to his fellow pilots for nearly four decades has made all ALPA pilots stronger. Widely respected among his peers, Capt. Rosenberg has a unique insight into how to approach and support people in stress, and numerous pilots, family members, and others have benefited from his understanding and compassion. These benefits have also extended outside the ALPA family to all pilot associations, domestic and international, as well as our colleagues at the National Air Traffic Controller Association,” said Capt. Tim Canoll, ALPA’s president.

A pilot for 39 years, Capt. Rosenberg has supported his peers during his tenure with North Central Airlines, Republic Airlines, Northwest Airlines, and, eventually, Delta Air Lines. As chair of ALPA Professional Standards, Capt. Rosenberg led a team of volunteers in establishing effective Professional Standards networks and ensuring that the ALPA Code of Ethics would stand as a guiding light within their respective pilot group cultures.

“We are grateful for his tremendous efforts throughout his career and commend Capt. Rosenberg for the vast contributions he has made on behalf of his fellow pilots and the Association,” added Capt. Canoll.

Founded in 1931, ALPA is the largest airline pilot union in the world and represents over 57,000 pilots at 33 U.S. and Canadian airlines. Visit the ALPA website at www.alpa.org or follow us on Twitter @WeAreALPA.
