Daniel Hollett of Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 Wins Acorn Award

LONDON, 2013-06-17 — /travelprnews.com/ — Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 is celebrating after its director of sales and marketing was awarded a prestigious Acorn Award this week. Run by Caterer & Hotelkeeper, the awards recognise future stars of the hospitality industry and are now in their twenty-seventh year. The Acorns acknowledge flair and reward good work, each year naming 30 people under 30 for making a significant contribution in their field.

Daniel Hollett, director of sales and marketing at Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5,  picked up the accolade for his fast tracked career progression within his specialism, achieving outstanding sales targets, delivering multi-million pound new business contracts, skills in leading a team and demonstrating his passion for the hospitality industry. He was also praised for implementing a number of new initiatives at Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 to reward long standing corporate clients and for his involvement with charitable activities.

Since the awards began in 1986, only 780 employees in the hospitality industry have been  named Acorn Award winners in a sector that employs almost two million people. Meredith Bevan, general manager at Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, comments: “This is an outstanding accomplishment for Daniel and we are very proud of his achievements, which have now been officially recognised amongst his peers. Daniel has been an integral member of the executive team here at Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 since joining and we know that this award is well deserved from his commitment to the hotel and his colleagues”.
