2012-08-21 — /travelprnews.com/ — The Kenton County Airport Board has authorized CVG to enter into a contract with Hi-Way Paving Inc. to complete runway rehabilitation.
The runway rehabilitation project is necessary for ongoing safe and efficient operations at the airport and is critical to maintain CVG’s world-class infrastructure well into the future.
The work will be performed in two phases for approximately $30.8 million beginning in September and is expected to be completed no later than December 2013.
Earlier this month, the Dept. of Transportation awarded CVG a $17.6 million grant for these runway improvements. CVG has three additional runways that will remain open during construction.
