Culinary adventures at sea: MSC Seascape offers Texas-inspired menus and immersive tasting experiences
(NEWS) FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, 2025-Sep-30 — /Travel PR News/ — There’s nothing quite like the bold comfort of Texas flavors, and beginning November 9, 2025, guests will be able to savor them at sea as MSC Seascape launches its 7-night Western Caribbean itineraries from Galveston. The ship will showcase expanded menus inspired by Southern, Gulf Coast, and Lone Star State traditions—think smoky BBQ brisket, Texas-style prime rib, Cajun-spiced pork loin, buttermilk pie, and Tex-Mex favorites—all paired with MSC Cruises’ signature Mediterranean buffets and upscale international dining. Adding to the culinary journey are two new onboard tasting experiences, the MSC Bourbon & Bacon Experience and the MSC Macallan Experience, giving guests the chance to explore the bold character of American spirits and fine whisky while enjoying a cruise that blends Southern hospitality with global flair.

The ship will also introduce two immersive tasting sessions in the Wine Cellar: the MSC Bourbon & Bacon Experience, pairing bourbons with savory bacon, and the MSC Macallan Experience, highlighting the heritage and craftsmanship of the iconic whisky. Bars and lounges across the ship will feature new cocktails such as a Spicy Mexican Margarita and Backyard Punch, as well as local beers and Texas-themed souvenir boot cups.
Josef Jungwirth, Vice President of Food & Beverage Operations for MSC Cruises U.S., explained that the new menus were designed after traveling across Texas for inspiration, blending the region’s bold, comforting flavors with MSC’s global culinary traditions. Guests will also enjoy themed dinners ranging from Texas favorites to Italian nights and Caribbean flair, plus an expanded “Tour de Brunch” menu showcasing international specialties from Japan, Tunisia, and the U.S.

With 2,270 cabins, including 12 types of suites, the ship is designed to cater to both families and solo travelers seeking a mix of adventure, relaxation, and international flavors.
Adding to the excitement of MSC Seascape’s debut in Galveston, MSC Cruises has confirmed that the Texas Gulf Coast will become the line’s fourth U.S. home port starting November 2025, according to a press announcement published on TravelPRNews.com. The move expands MSC’s year-round U.S. operations, with seven-night Caribbean itineraries departing every Sunday to destinations such as Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico and Isla de Roatán in Honduras. CEO Gianni Onorato highlighted that the new base strengthens MSC’s growing American footprint—joining New York, PortMiami, and Port Canaveral—and makes the cruise line’s newest and most innovative ship more accessible to travelers across central and western U.S. as well as international guests via Houston. With standout attractions including 7,500 square feet of kids’ facilities, the ROBOTRON robotic arm ride, LEGO® playrooms, and immersive VR experiences, MSC Seascape also promises unforgettable onboard adventures to complement its rich shore excursion offerings, from exploring Mayan ruins to snorkeling along pristine reefs.
