Contract signed at Innotrans 2012: SBB becomes the single-source contractor for cleaning services on the Zentralbahn.

Zentralbahn was looking for a single-source contractor to take over all its cleaning services. SBB Passenger Operating rose to the challenge, submitted an attractive bid, and was awarded the contract. Since SBB is attending Innotrans 2012, the two companies signed the contracts in Berlin on 20 September 2012.

2012-09-20 — /travelprnews.com/ — As the single-source contractor, SBB will take over all cleaning and marshalling services for rolling stock as well as workshop and office cleaning – a new offering in SBB’s product range. Philippe Clapasson, Head of Train Preparation at SBB Passenger Operating, expressed his delight: “We were able to win through against major  competitors”.

Since SBB is attending Innotrans, the world’s largest trade fair for rail transport technology, SBB and Zentralbahn signed the contract at the fair in Berlin. “SBB made the most attractive offer”, said Renato Fasciati, CEO of Zentralbahn. He is looking forward to closer cooperation with the parent company. SBB has a holding of 66% in Zentralbahn.
