Columbus Zoo and The Andersons Partner to Support Wildlife

Powell, OH – 2012-10-10 — /travelprnews.com/ —  The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and The Andersons have teamed up in a unique way to support wildlife conservation. Through The Andersons private label charity wine program, a special Columbus Zoo and Aquarium wine called the Conservation Series will be sold at The Andersons stores in the Columbus area beginning Saturday, Oct. 20.

The Columbus Zoo’s Conservation Series consists of six different wines including both reds and whites with something to please every palate. Each variety of wine features a special label inspired by a few notable animals at the Columbus Zoo. The cost per bottle is $9.99 and for every bottle sold The Andersons will donate the equivalent of $2 to the Columbus Zoo which will then support conservation projects around the globe.

On Saturday, Oct. 20 Jungle Jack Hanna will kick-off the sale of the Conservation Series at the Sawmill Rd. Andersons from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Customers can see an Andersons Wine Associate to purchase a case of 12 bottles of the Columbus Zoo Conservation Series wine and get a 10% wine case discount. Come meet Jungle Jack and have him autograph your favorite bottle of Columbus Zoo Conservation Series wine.

“The Columbus Zoo is extremely excited about this partnership with The Andersons,” said Tom Stalf, Interim President and CEO of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. “Our mission is to save wildlife in wild places and funds raised from the sale of the Conservation Series will help animals around the world.”

“The Andersons enjoys supporting wonderful community organizations like the Columbus Zoo. Our private label charity wine program has allowed non-profit organizations to creatively market their brand to the broader community by participating in our program. We look forward to great success through our partnership with the Columbus Zoo.” Julie Payeff, Community Commitment Manager, The Andersons, Inc.
