Brave the wildest outbreak of the year on October 27
WHAT: 2012-10-18 — /travelprnews.com/ — Tickets are on sale now for Cobwebs and Cocktails presented by Groupon at Zoo Atlanta, Saturday, October 27 at 7 p.m. The event will be the first adult Halloween celebration hosted at the Zoo in more than 10 years.
Adventurous costumed guests are invited to navigate a Zoo path overrun by The Bitten, skirting a secret spring inhabited by an ancient darkness as they attempt to locate the evening’s resident lurker – a giant venomous spider transformed by a powerful curse – before partying in The Spider’s Lair. The festivities will continue in a web-shrouded world of live entertainment, nocturnal animal encounters, and Halloween fun for partygoers 21 and up.
Tickets will be available on Groupon.com through October 21, 2012. Tickets include Zoo admission, two complimentary drink tickets, and a chance to brave the wildest outbreak of the year.
Single tickets are $45 or two for $80. Limit five tickets per purchase. Cobwebs and Cocktails is open to guests 21 and up only; guests under 21 will not be admitted.

ABOUT: About Zoo Atlanta
An accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), Zoo Atlanta inspires value and preservation of wildlife through a unique mix of education and outdoor family fun. From well-known native wildlife to critically endangered species on the brink of extinction, the Zoo offers memorable close encounters with more than 1,500 animals from around the world. A slate of new up-close-and-personal experiences opened in spring 2012: giraffe feeding, permitting guests to hand-feed Earth’s tallest living land mammals, and Wild Encounters, three new behind-the-scenes adventures with African elephants, giant pandas and Komodo dragon. Other highlights include the nation’s largest collection of western lowland gorillas, the nation’s largest zoological collection of orangutans and a global center of excellence for the care and study of vanishing reptiles and amphibians. The Zoo is open daily with the exceptions of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Keeper talks, interactive wildlife shows, education programs and special events run year-round.
