Bahrain, 2017-Apr-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), held a closing ceremony for participants in its Supervisory Leadership Program, which is designed for supervisors and employees with supervisory role potential. The event, which was held at BAC headquarters, included speeches delivered by BAC Vice President, Human Resources and Administration, Hind Mahmood, and program instructors, Wajdi Abdulsalam and Sami Buirki. Afterwards, BAC Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah, distributed certificates to the participants, marking their successful completion of the program.
The program was launched by the BAC Learning and Development Centre in September last year. The Centre, which facilitates BAC employees’ learning and enhances their ability to develop progressively in their careers, applied the Supervisory Leadership Program in three structured levels: Level One focused on developing five different core skills and competencies required by supervisors to handle operational work with the desired speed and efficiency; Level Two provided mentoring and important skills to managers and senior managers to help them become certified coaches; and Level Three strengthened bonds between participants using executive team building techniques.
BAC is the authority responsible for enhancing BIA and increasing the airport’s contribution to the local economy in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. In its operational role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport’s operations, infrastructure and services. This is set to improve BIA’s capabilities and cater to the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of stakeholders.
