Circling Raven Golf Club, Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel Celebrate Banner 2019

WORLEY, Idaho, United States, 2019-Nov-06 — /Travel PR News/ — Circling Raven Golf Club – the acclaimed amenity of the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel – concluded an extraordinarily successful 15th Anniversary season this week, a year marked with honors, robust financial performance, and significant announcements for 2020.

Circling Raven is one of the award-winning amenities at Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel, voted “Tribal Destination of the Year” in 2019 for its cultural tourism activities.

Located in the Idaho Panhandle near Spokane (WA), Circling Raven closed the year with increases across virtually every business category. Golf rounds played rose by 18% over 2018, Retail Sales by 18%, Stay-and-Play packages by 15%, Total Revenues by 8%, and Green Fees’ Revenue by 6%. Factoring in Total Maintenance expenses and Golf Operations Income reveals an overall financial improvement of 18% relative to last year.

“Ensuring our guests value our product and providing them with deeply satisfying experiences while operating profitably is our mandate,” said Laura Stensgar, a Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel executive. “That we accomplished both while garnering multiple accolades reinforces that we’re on point strategically, and it inspires us to sustain and build upon our momentum next year.”

Coeur d’Alene Tribe’s mission is to benefit its people through businesses that sustain tribal tradition while simultaneously enhancing tribal members’ quality of life.

A major announcement for 2020 has catapulted the Coeur d’Alene Tribe-owned amenity hurtling forward proactively. Titled the Circling Raven Championship, it’s a Symetra “Road to the LPGA” Tour event that will debut at the CDA Casino Resort Hotel, Aug. 24-30, 2020. To be played through 2022, it will feature a full field of competitors battling for $200,000 in prize money next season.

“Many well-known LPGA players graduated to that elite tour through their Symetra Tour successes, and we can’t wait to see these incredibly talented women professional players shine during the Circling Raven Championship on our award-winning course,” said Stensgar. “Not only does it speak to the superb quality of our first-class golf course, but these women are role models who motivate young people to take up the game.”

Both the golf course and the resort garnered distinction this year. Golfweek ranked Circling Raven the No. 1 public course in Idaho through its “America’s Best Courses You Can Play by State” annual compendium; and Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel was named “Tribal Destination of the Year” at the American Indian Tourism Conference, for its Cultural Tourism Program.

Circling Raven weaves trough 620 pristine acres of Palouse region terrain, which is roughly four times more land than is typically used for golf course designs.

A multi-million-dollar casino renovation was completed last spring helped draw drew more visitors, including a significant number of stay and play golfers.

Tribal tradition and cultural tourism activities are an integral part of Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel.

“Coeur d’Alene Tribe’s mission is to improve the quality of life for our members through operating successful enterprises while maintaining our cultural integrity and traditions,” said Stensgar. “Circling Raven, which was named for one of our greatest leaders, and Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel. exemplify our commitment.”
