HONG KONG, 2018-May-07 — /Travel PR News/ — Cathay Pacific’s first Airbus A350-1000 has taken to the air for the first time, successfully completing a test flight from Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France. We have 20 of these technologically-advanced aircraft on order with the first delivery scheduled in June.
The Cathay Pacific Group, which already has one of the most modern fleets in the sky, is investing substantially in its future expansion and will be taking delivery of 79 new aircraft between now and 2024, including 32 Airbus A321neo.
The efficient A350-1000 will form an important part of our long-haul operations and will be deployed on our new route to Washington DC starting in September. The service to Dulles International Airport will become the longest on the Cathay Pacific network at 8,153 miles.
