Budapest Airport announces the appointment of Sir Michael Hodgkinson to its Board of Directors

Budapest, Hungary, 2020-Jan-10 — /Travel PR News/ — Budapest Airport is pleased to announce the appointment of Sir Michael Hodgkinson, former CEO of UK airports company BAA and Vazil Hudák, former Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), to its Board of Directors.

Vazil Hudák was previously Vice-President of the EIB since 2016, where he oversaw major international projects including transport financing in Eastern European countries. Prior to his role at the EIB, Hudák was the lead Slovak negotiator for the EU Budget and Slovakia’s Minister for the Economy, and State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance. Hudák also has extensive experience of working in the private corporate sector as Vice-President of Citigroup and Executive Director of JPMorgan Chase Bank in London.

Sir Michael Hodgkinson brings significant industry leadership experience to the Board, including his roles as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board TUI AG until 2018, and as BAA plc’s Chief Executive from 1999 to 2003. Hodgkinson has also held a Director role at Dublin Airport and a non-executive director role at Transport for London and Crossrail Limited.

He also has excellent contacts to the banking industry, in particular to the financing banks of Budapest Airport. I am confident both will be a great asset to Ferenc Liszt International Airport.”
