British Airways together with Mark Wright and team of bucket shaking fundraisers raise over £2.5 million for Sport Relief

LONDON, 2016-Mar-22 — /Travel PR News/ — Television presenter and TOWIE star Mark Wright and a team of bucket shaking fundraisers touched down in Manchester Airport to celebrate Sport Relief Day on Friday.

They were part of a round-Britain Flyathon which saw dozens of celebrities and fundraisers travel to all major UK airports collecting cash from customers on board the flights.

Mark and his team travelled on the Heathrow to Manchester flights where they were warmly welcomed by supporters in the terminal.  Together they helped British Airways raise over £2.5 million for Sport Relief.

The Flyathon came just five days after British Airways and Manchester Airport staged a charity run around the airport’s runways for Sport Relief and CLIC Sargent.

Sport Relief is the bi-annual fundraising event held by Comic Relief, which invites the public to get active, raise cash and change lives and this year culminated in the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games.

Since 2010, British Airways has raised more than £12 million for Comic Relief through its Flying Start partnership, through generous donations from customers, as well as fund raising events around the country.
