(PRESS RELEASE) London, UK, 2024-Dec-3 — /Travel PR News/ —  British Airways has unveiled exciting additions to its summer 2025 route network with new flights to Rimini, Salerno, and Olbia, enhancing its already extensive coverage of Italian destinations. The airline now serves 19 locations in Italy, marking its leadership in offering the most routes to any European country.

Starting in May 2025, new services will be launched from London Heathrow to Rimini, a seaside gem on the Adriatic coast, and from London Gatwick to Salerno, offering access to the stunning Amalfi Coast. Additionally, a new service from London City to Olbia, Sardinia, complements the existing flights to the island from Heathrow.

British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, Neil Chernoff, highlighted the continued popularity of Italy with travelers, noting a 10% increase in summer flight searches compared to 2023. The airline’s expansion to these coastal cities meets the rising demand for quality leisure travel, particularly from those seeking sunny destinations rich in culture and local cuisine.

Rimini, starting on May 15, 2025, will operate three times a week, offering a mix of ancient landmarks, vibrant nightlife, and beach experiences along its 15 km coastline. Salerno flights will also operate three times a week from May 22, 2025, providing access to the stunning Amalfi Coast, with its charming towns and Mediterranean vistas. Olbia will see an expanded service from London City, starting with one weekly flight, increasing to two from mid-July.

The new routes bring even more opportunities for British Airways to connect travelers to Italy’s most desirable destinations, enhancing their travel experience with the best of Italian culture, coastlines, and cuisine.
