Beach House’s restaurant Medium Rare at Iruveli Maldives awarded “2013 Award of Excellence” by Wine Spectator Magazine at 2013 Restaurant Wine List Awards

Maldives, 2013-10-25 — /travelprnews.com/ — Beach House at Iruveli Maldives is delighted to announce that its fine dining restaurant, Medium Rare, has been awarded the“2013 Award of Excellence” by New York based Wine Spectator Magazine, at the 2013 Restaurant Wine List Awards.

The Restaurant Wine List Awards feature the world’s best selection of wine sat individual restaurant and dining establishments. The awards are given to restaurants that showcase an uncompromising devotion to the quality of their wine programme, feature outstanding depth in mature vintages, with wine pairings in excellent harmony with the menu, together with superb presentation and wine service. 2013 saw an increase in restaurants participating with over 3,793 restaurants from more than 75 countries having been nominated, underlining the importance of this award in the international wine industry.

In conjunction with the award, Beach House Iruveli is proud to introduce a unique dining experience-GASTROLOGY, a progressive tasting and wines dinner under the setting Maldivian sun. Experience a slice of “Oenotria” in the middle of the Indian Ocean at the Beach House Iruveli. The Cellar carries a wine selection of more than 380 labels including classics from vineyards spanning France, Italy, Spain, to exclusive new world producers.

The wine programme has been developed with focus on diversity of labels and different wine making style. The parings focus on the parallel flavours, aromas and divergent notes to achieve the perfect harmony along with culinary art from the kitchen. Here, guests are treated to exclusive walk-around tasting sand wine briefings.

Wine Dinner
Continue the gourmet adventure at Medium Rare, the Wine Spectator Award Winning Restaurant for a signature series; a unique four course menu elaborated by Executive Chef Shan who has worked in five star kitchens all over the world including Alain Ducasse Au Plaza Athenee, Paris.  The tasting experience is further complemented by Resident Wine Director Chu Hoon Stanley Chang featuring selected wines served alongside expertly-prepared seasonal dishes.
