The press conference was held at the grand ballroom of the Movenpick BDMS Wellness Resort, Bangkok.
Mr. Varong Israsena Na Ayudhya, Vice President – Marketing of Bangkok Airways, commented that, “This year, we plan to implement proactive marketing strategies in Thailand and in the broader Indochina region, especially those markets in the CLMV countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam) as these countries show promising growth in terms of economics. Travel demand in these countries is also on the rise for both leisure and business. Currently, Bangkok Airways operates more than 50 flights per day between Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) and important cities in CLMV. This is considered as one of our strong points in the market. Last year, we launched a few travel packages to boost air travel between Thailand and CLMV countries within the region such as the Beach Times Package that offered through-fare tickets for those travelers who wanted to travel from their city of origin in CLMV via Bangkok and then onwards to popular beach destinations in Thailand and the Maldives. ASEAN Cross Country Package is another campaign that offered passengers from CLMV to travel within the region on Bangkok Airways flights. Moreover, we also partnered with the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) in promoting the “Fly, Meet, Shop” campaign, drawing MICE groups from CLMV to have meetings and incentive travel in Thailand for the third year running.”
“For the Thai market, we will use integrated strategies to help elevate Bangkok Airways brand positioning in Thailand. We will continue exercising our Sport & Tourism Marketing activities in order to create and strengthen our brand awareness with connections to our running enthusiasts. Bangkok Airways Boutique Series – a running event that will be held in 6 destinations throughout Thailand. This will be our 4th edition of the running series event. Additionally, we support our partners such as the Tourism Authority of Thailand in supporting various sports-related and tourism-related events to help promote tourism in the main and secondary cities during low seasons. Some of the campaigns that we participate in this year are 60 Happiness Routes and Amazing Thailand Premium, to name a few. We believe that working with various partners that have expertise in their respective fields will help enhance Bangkok Airways’ competitiveness in the market. This partnership with Bangkok Travel Club (BTC) on this campaign is seen as another strategy to help us better compete with our competitors,” Mr. Varong added.
Mr. Chulin Kocharoen, Vice President – Sales of Bangkok Airways said, “This year, Bangkok Airways will focus on selling our tickets on four main channels which are 1. Direct Channels (API connect and B2B Platform) 2. Travel Agencies & Interline (Online and Offline) 3. Ticketing Offices (City and Airport Offices, and Call Center) and 4. Bangkok Airways website and Mobile Application. Moreover, we have completely transformed ourselves to a fully digitally-integrated airline. Last year, we developed our systems and were able to connect to those online travel agencies (OTAs) to be more visible in our potential markets around the world.”
“As we would like to create more value to our tickets as well as to offer our passengers new products, we, together with Bangkok Travel Club (BTC), have come up with a travel campaign that will offer our clients two amazing products which are, 1.
