Bahrain Airport Company welcomed KLM Royal Dutch Airlines delegation to discuss matters of mutual benefit and future collaboration

Muharraq, Bahrain, 2014-9-30 — /Travel PR News/ — In line with its on-going efforts to deliver service excellence and meeting the demands of airlines and passengers alike, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) welcomed a delegation from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines at the company’s headquarter in Muharraq.

Representatives from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines were received by BAC’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Mohamed Khalil and his team, whereby they discussed matters of mutual benefit and future collaboration. The two parties vouched their joint commitment in continuing to promote Bahrain International Airport (BIA) and the airline’s success.

“KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has been a key partner and holds a long-standing relationship with the airport and the Kingdom of Bahrain that goes back over 40 years. BIA’s successes are built on such strong partnerships, and I would like to take this opportunity to confirm our support and cooperation for the airline community at the airport as we push ahead with our plans to further enhance passenger’s experience through our friendly and efficient airport,” commented Mr. Khalil.

According to Mr. Tjalling Smit, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Senior Vice President – Middle East, Arabian Gulf and India, “KLM enjoys a long and successful relation with the Kingdom of Bahrain. Our customers’ appreciation for BIA is one of the highest in the region. We are delighted to work together with BAC in further shaping the customer experience as the airport expands.”

BAC is the authority responsible for enhancing BIA and increasing the airport’s contribution to the local economy in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision. In its operational role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport’s operations, infrastructure and services. This is set to improve BIA’s capabilities and cater to the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of stakeholders.
