Bahrain Airport Company signs strategic partnership agreement with International Air Transport Association (IATA)

Muharraq, Bahrain, 2015-10-30 — /Travel PR News/ — Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), proudly celebrated the company’s recent signing of a strategic partnership agreement with International Air Transport Association (IATA). This agreement recognizes BAC as a key member in IATA’s Strategic Partnership Program and positions the company as an integral contributor to setting industry standards and strategies.

Boasting over 400 participants, IATA’s Strategic Partnerships Program provides a platform for the aviation industry to share ideas, collaborate and improve aviation practices and technology. As part of this forward-thinking program, BAC will have complete access to IATA’s economic data and analysis and will be able to utilize IATA’s resources for industry research to potentially drive forward BIA’s growth and development. As a Strategic Partner, BAC can actively participate in over 40 areas of involvement spanning virtually all aspects of airline operations, helping to draw up policies and regulations for the airline community.

BAC is the authority responsible for enhancing BIA and increasing the airport’s contribution to the local economy in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision. In its operational role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport’s operations, infrastructure and services. This is set to improve BIA’s capabilities and cater to the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of stakeholders.
