2013-07-25 — /travelprnews.com/ — In line with the celebrations of the holy month of Ramadan, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) hosted a Ghabga event for Airlines that operate from Bahrain International Airport (BIA) on Tuesday, 16th July, at the Ramadan tent in the Gulf Hotel.
Chief Executive Officer of BAC Mr. Mohamed Yousif Al- Binfalah received the guests including senior officials from the airline companies and the executive management at BAC.
The event reflects the company’s commitment to improve partnership with the airlines operating at BIA. The airport caters to 35 airlines flying to 46 destinations world-wide as well as a number of key international cargo carriers operate from BIA. This includes DHL which has made BIA its’ regional hub for its operations in the Middle East for more than 35 years. The airport won various internationally-renowned awards, most recently the SKYTRAX Award in 2013 for the Middle East’s Best Airport Staff. It has also received different nominations which ranked BIA in the SKYTRAX world’s top 100 airports.
Not to mention, BAC is the authority responsible for enhancing BIA and increasing the airport’s contribution to the local economy in line with Vision 2030. In its’ operational role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport’s operations, infrastructure and services. This is set to improve BIA capabilities; and to cater for the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of stakeholders.
