Muharraq, Bahrain, 2013-11-12 — /travelprnews.com/ — In line with its’ continuous efforts in managing Bahrain International Airport (BIA) as a world-class airport and enhancing operations’ proficiency, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) recently hosted the Air Cargo Working Group meeting at the company’s headquarter in Muharraq.
Manager of Cargo at BAC Mr. Robert Mills was introduced during the meeting as the newest member to the group. The meeting was chaired by Mr Waleed All Bastaki the group Chairman and the Cargo Sales Supervisor at Cathay Pacific.
BAC is committed to work hand-in-hand with its’ partners in the private and public sectors to ensure operations efficiency. In this respect, the Air Cargo Working Group was established to provide an open channel of communications between BAC and its Cargo related partners, and allow knowledge sharing as well as improve services. The group consists of representatives from BAC, Bahrain Airport Services, Civil Aviation’s Affairs, Customs Affairs, and the airline companies.
Note to mention that BAC is the authority responsible for operating and managing BIA as a world-class airport. As part of its’ operator role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport’s infrastructure and services. This set to improve the Kingdom‘s aviation capabilities; and to cater for the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of BIA stakeholders.
