Auckland Airport launched official iPhone App to offer relevant travel information to passengers and airport visitors

2013-07-29 — /travelprnews.com/ — The perfect pocket companion to help passengers travel through the airport, the Auckland Airport App contains useful tools and information.

Available now for free on the Apple App Store, the official Auckland Airport iPhone App has been created to provide the most important and relevant travel information to passengers and airport visitors.

Designed to offer people one easily accessible mobile source for reliable information, the App provides everything from flight times, gate numbers, security rules and airport maps, through to car park booking, important contact numbers and information regarding facilities and retail offerings.

“At Auckland Airport we are always looking for ways to make journeys better,” says Auckland Airport spokesman Paul Divers.  “This App will provide iPhone users with a fast and efficient way to access travel information, helping them to be better prepared for their trip and to ensure they have a quick and easy experience through the airport.”

“One very appealing feature of the App is ‘My Flight’ which allows passengers to keep a track of the time and where they are required to be in their departure journey,” says Mr Divers.

“’My Flight’ also includes a flight departure countdown with status updates, what gate the flight departs from, and when the passenger needs to be going through security or heading to the gate.”

The App assists iPhone users with planning their trip by providing information on what should be packed in their luggage and what can be carried through security.

To download the Auckland Airport App for free, iPhone users can visit the Apple App Store, search for Auckland Airport and look for the black and white ‘A’ icon.

“We welcome any feedback or questions from users of the App and this can be done using the App itself,” says Mr Divers.

Note for media – images of the App and its contents are available for publication.
