Auckland, New Zealand, 2017-Oct-03 — /Travel PR News/ — American Airlines is set to fly a larger aircraft on its Los Angeles – Auckland route, when it recommences the service this October.
The new aircraft, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, is American Airlines’ newest aircraft type and was introduced to its fleet at the end of 2016. It has 258 seats which is 59 seats more than the Boeing 787-8 that American Airlines has used on the Los Angeles – Auckland route. It also has a premium economy cabin and new business class suites.
American Airlines General Manager Australia and New Zealand, Simon Dodd, says, “Premium Economy is an increasingly popular option for customers who want an elevated experience on their journey to Los Angeles and beyond.”
Premium Economy offers leather seats, more legroom, wider seats and expandable foot, leg and head rests. Enhanced meals are served with complimentary wine, beer, and spirits.
Premium Economy customers receive amenity kits and noise-reducing headphones and an enhanced pillow and blanket.
The new aircraft will include 30 business class seats, 21 premium economy and 234 in the main cabin.
