This 24/7 digital booking capability enhances efficiency and customer service while expanding ANA’s global sales reach. The initiative is a key part of ANA’s ongoing efforts to modernize its cargo operations and improve the digital experience for freight partners.
(PRESS RELEASE) TOKYO, 2025-Apr-23 — /Travel PR News/ — All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest and most consistently top-rated airline, has taken a major step toward digital transformation in air freight. On April 11, 2025, ANA officially began offering cargo space booking through CargoWise, the global logistics platform developed by WiseTech Global. This move makes ANA the first Japanese carrier to enable cargo bookings through the platform, advancing its goal of improving customer convenience and modernizing its sales channels.
The integration allows freight forwarders to seamlessly search, compare prices, make bookings, and receive confirmations for ANA flights directly within the CargoWise interface—available 24/7. The launch was made in partnership with DHL Global Forwarding, with plans to roll out access to more freight forwarding partners in the near future.
Kenichi Wakiya, Executive Vice President of Cargo Marketing & Services at ANA and President & CEO of ANA Cargo, emphasized the importance of aligning with customer needs: “Our integration with CargoWise delivers a streamlined, efficient booking process by allowing our partners to book ANA cargo services using systems they already trust.”
Scott McCorquodale, WiseTech Global’s Head of Airline Connectivity, highlighted Japan’s strategic role in global trade: “ANA Cargo is central to Japan’s trade with the world. Integrating ANA with CargoWise gives freight forwarders real-time access to availability and pricing, improving speed and accuracy across the entire supply chain.”
From the forwarder side, DHL Global Forwarding welcomed the innovation. Max Sauberschwarz, Head of Global Air Freight, stated: “This direct data connection with ANA Cargo via CargoWise improves our planning and booking capabilities while enhancing the service experience for our customers.”
With Japan’s economy heavily reliant on technology and consumer goods exports, ANA’s move marks a significant advancement for the air cargo sector. The airline plans to build on this initiative by expanding access to additional freight forwarders and continuing its push to digitize air cargo operations.
