All Nippon Airways Celebrates Japan–Hawai‘i Harmony at Fifth ʻAha Mele Music Festival

(IN SHORT) All Nippon Airways will host its fifth ANA ʻAha Mele festival in Honolulu from November 19 to 22, featuring pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii alongside friends Fumiaki Miura, Shutaro Matsui and Kento Tsubosaka, plus first-time collaborator Raiatea Helm. The lineup includes an intimate Blue Note Hawaii show and a gala at Tom Moffatt Waikiki Shell. The festival also encompasses a school music workshop led by Tsujii and a Milo tree–planting initiative for environmental stewardship. ANA’s Dynamic Package aboard the FLYING HONU A380 is now available for travelers seeking an immersive ʻAha Mele experience.

(PRESS RELEASE) TOKYO, Japan, 2025-Aug-5 — /Travel PR News/ — All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s leading carrier and a recipient of Skytrax’s 5-Star rating for twelve straight years, returns to Honolulu this November 19–22 to present its fifth annual ANA ʻAha Mele festival. Anchoring the four-day celebration is acclaimed pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii, who reunites with longtime musical collaborators and debuts alongside Hawaiian star Raiatea Helm. Together they’ll weave Japanese and Hawaiian traditions through performances that honor community, culture, and environmental stewardship.

The festival kicks off on November 19 with an intimate evening at Blue Note Hawaii, featuring Tsujii’s solo set alongside jazz virtuosi Shutaro Matsui (trumpet) and Kento Tsubosaka (piano). It culminates on November 22 under the stars at the Tom Moffatt Waikiki Shell, where Tsujii, violinist Fumiaki Miura, Matsui and Tsubosaka join Helm for a gala concert blending classical and Hawaiian melodies.

Beyond concerts, ANA ʻAha Mele continues its community outreach: Tsujii will lead a hands-on music workshop at a local school, inspiring young Hawai‘i musicians, while ANA employees plant native Milo trees in the “ANA Legacy Forest,” supporting reforestation and preserving the cultural heritage embodied by the tree’s use in crafting ukuleles.

Travelers from Japan can now book the ANA Dynamic Package on the FLYING HONU Airbus A380—painted to resemble Hawaiian sea turtles—to experience ʻAha Mele firsthand. “Since its inception in 2019, ANA ʻAha Mele has served as a musical bridge between Japan and Hawai‘i,” said Tomoji Ishii, ANA Executive Vice President for Customer Experience. “This year, we deepen our commitment to local communities and environmental sustainability through the universal language of music.”
