All Nippon Airways and Viasat Partner to Deliver Complimentary High-Speed In-Flight Internet

(IN SHORT) All Nippon Airways is launching free, high-speed Wi-Fi on its Boeing 767-300ER international flights, powered by Viasat’s Amara system. Rolling out on three aircraft by FY 2025 and completing all six by FY 2026, the service will eventually cover more than 80 percent of ANA’s international fleet by 2030. The upgrade lets passengers stream video and browse as they would on the ground, available in every cabin class. Executive Vice President Tomoji Ishii emphasized the enhancement of customer experience, while Viasat’s Mark Dankberg praised the partnership. This launch is part of ANA’s broader digital transformation strategy.

(PRESS RELEASE) TOKYO, Japan, 2025-Aug-5 — /Travel PR News/ — All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest carrier and a 5-Star airline for 12 years running, is rolling out complimentary high-speed internet on its international Boeing 767-300ER fleet. Powered by Viasat’s latest connectivity platform, the upgrade delivers streaming-capable Wi-Fi in all classes, mirroring ground-level performance from boarding until disembarkation.

The upgrade begins with three specially equipped B767-300ERs (202-seat configuration, JA625A) by the end of fiscal 2025, expanding to all six of these aircraft in FY 2026. Subsequent phases will integrate Viasat’s system into new international jets, with the ambition to equip over 80 percent of ANA’s international fleet with free in-flight Wi-Fi by the close of 2030. Passengers simply download the Aira app—already available on Apple App Store and Google Play—to access the service at no extra charge.

Tomoji Ishii, Executive Vice President of Customer Experience at ANA, remarked, “Integrating Viasat’s technology allows us to offer a seamless, fast connection in the air, enriching our passengers’ journey.” Viasat Chairman and CEO Mark Dankberg added, “We’re proud to partner with ANA on this next-generation Amara solution, combining proven capability with innovation to support their future connectivity needs.”

This initiative supports ANA’s overarching digital vision to enhance passenger convenience through sustained investment in cutting-edge technology. For further details on in-flight amenities, visit the ANA website.
